Opening Doors to Nursing Degrees: Time for Action
Categories: Health
Ontario must expand the options for people who want to become registered nurses (RNs). Doing so will improve access to the nursing profession, create better pathways between the registered practical nursing (RPN) and the baccalaureate-prepared registered nursing (RN) occupations, and build Ontario’s capacity to meet the province’s long-term health human resources needs. Colleges have developed a multi-year implementation plan based on principles that will protect the supply of new nurses, ensure program quality, and require no new government funding.
