Domee Shi, an Academy Award-winning director and creative vice-president at Pixar, will be speaking at this year’s Higher Education Summit in Toronto. Shi, celebrated for her work on films like Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, Incredibles 2 and Toy Story 4, will share her journey from a story artist to the director of the Oscar-winning short film Bao and her feature film debut Turning Red.
In her talk, Shi will provide an inside look into her creative process, discussing how her experiences at Sheridan College shaped her career and influenced her work on some of the most beloved animated films. She will also explore her role as a creative vice-president at Pixar, where she helps guide the studio's future projects.
The Higher Education Summit, organized by Colleges Ontario, is a leading conference on post-secondary education. This year’s event runs from Saturday, Nov. 23 to Monday, Nov. 25, at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.
