We are pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Jamer as the new vice president of policy and innovation at Colleges Ontario, effective September 3, 2024. She is an accomplished leader with experience in both the Ontario public service and the public college sector.

Laura brings a wealth of knowledge from her time at George Brown College as the director of government relations, where she established the college’s first government relations department and successfully navigated significant policy changes.

Before her tenure at George Brown College, Laura spent 16 years in the Ontario public service, holding senior positions in various ministries.

Jamer holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations from Humber College. She is a proud Francophone and Torontonian.

“We are thrilled to have Laura join our team,” said Marketa Evans, president and CEO of Colleges Ontario. “Her extensive experience and innovative mindset will be instrumental as we continue to advocate for Ontario’s colleges and enhance the educational and economic outcomes for students and communities across the province.”
