As I continue to visit Ontario’s remarkable colleges, I want to share some highlights from my recent trips to St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Cambrian College in Sudbury and Canadore College in North Bay.  Graduates from these colleges and many other public colleges across Ontario are simply instrumental for the health-care, mining and aviation sectors.

Our colleges are making a tremendous difference filling the demand for more personal support workers. Starting last year, colleges have been offering fast-track, tuition-free programs that can be completed in six months rather than the standard timeframe of eight months.

Our next provincial government must work with colleges to recharge Ontario for this new age of accelerating automation and the transition to a cleaner economy.
