Kennedy, Martin, Trudeau and Davis to headline education summit in Toronto
Colleges Ontario’s annual “Higher Education Summit” will feature three internationally known speakers, the 19th annual Premier’s Awards and a special tribute to former Ontario Premier William G. Davis, the founder of Ontario’s college system.
All sessions take place at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, 123 Queen St. West on Sunday, November 27th and Monday November 28th.
Former Prime Minister, Paul Martin, will speak Sunday at 1 pm, leading a conversation on aboriginal education.
Mental health advocate Margaret Trudeau will deliver a candid address about her life experiences and challenges on Monday at 9:45 am.
Environmental activist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., will be on hand for keynote remarks at 1:15 pm on Monday.
On Monday evening, former Ontario Premier William Davis will speak after receiving tributes celebrating his achievement in establishing Ontario’s college system during his time as Minister of Education.
More than 700 educators and business leaders from across Ontario will be present for the Monday evening gala, at which the winners of the 19th annual Premier’s Awards will be announced and presented in six categories.
